Carpet Underfloor Heating

Our electric underfloor heating is an excellent choice for carpet floors, as it provides a warm and comfortable feeling underfoot. It is also simple to install, as it does not require pipes or radiators and can be controlled with a thermostat. Electric underfloor heating is an energy-efficient solution that not only helps to reduce heating bills but also minimises heat loss by directly heating the floor.

However, you need to make sure that your carpet and underlay are not too thick or insulating, as they might block the heat from reaching the room. The tog rating of the carpet and underlay should be low enough to let the heat pass through.

Our range includes three different electric underfloor heating systems specifically designed for carpet floors: sticky mats, loose cables, and foil mats.

The sticky mat and loose cable kits are designed to be thin and effortless to install. With a 150W power output system, they are perfect for carpets with underlay (Max Tog 2.5 Combined) and can be easily installed within a 10mm levelling compound.

When opting for foil mat kits, it's important to ensure that the power output is limited to 140W per square metre for your carpet with underlay, vinyl (luxury vinyl tile) floor finish, or lino. This will prevent any overheating of the floor. Additionally, make sure to install it with our Heat Pak Dual overlay for optimal results for those floor types.
