Most popular amongst plumbers in the north of the UK and with DIY'ers everywhere, push fit waste can be dismantled if required during the installation process.

MAKING A PUSH FIT WASTE JOINT

As the name suggests, no glue or sealant is required when making push fit joints, although silicon spray lubricant may be used to make the pipe insertion a slightly smoother process. To make the joint simply push the pipe into the fitting over the seal until you feel resistance. The joint will be secure immediately. It can be taken apart if necessary and remade, but be sure to check that the O ring seal has not been dislodged from its housing groove in any way as this will cause the joint to leak.
