Underfloor Heating for Vinyl

Electric underfloor heating can be a great partner for your vinyl floor, adding a touch of luxury and comfort to your bare feet. Vinyl is naturally flexible and durable, making it a reliable choice for underfloor heating. It also withstands heat and moisture well, ensuring long-lasting enjoyment.

However, different vinyl types have varying heat tolerances. Luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) are generally the best but remember to check with your flooring manufacturer about compatibility to avoid any warranty issues. We also recommend choosing a system with appropriate wattage per square metre, considering your vinyl type and desired warmth. Larger rooms or areas with less insulation might benefit from higher heat output or closer cable spacing for even heat distribution.

We offer three electric underfloor heating systems compatible with vinyl: sticky mats, loose cables, and foil mats. Sticky mats and loose cables are mainly used for tiles and stone, but they also work with vinyl (LVT) if installed with a 10mm levelling compound bed. Foil mats are ideal for floating floor finishes, such as laminates and engineered wood flooring, and are compatible with LVT, if installed with our Heat Pak Dual overlay.
